It's finally soup season! I was sad to see a few of their other locations close. Eddington's is a Twin Cities staple so I'm glad they're still in my hood. If you love hearty soups and fresh baked breadsticks this is the joint to try. If you don't love hearty soups and fresh baked breadsticks I'm not sure if we should be friends. It's is the best for lunch. You're in and out with no fuss and no food comma / fast food regret. They've been in business for something like 35 years and are locally owned and operated. I think they still manage to fly under the radar for some reason... I haven't had a soup at Eddington's that I haven't liked. Make sure you come hungry.

Dark and dated. three 1/2 grilled cheese, one bottled water, 2 bottled pop, two cups soup w/breadsticks that were tossed & two cellophane wrapped deserts $28.00. Grilled cheese were thin, and tasteless. We ate in the Har Mar hallway to escape the rather dowdy atmosphere.

Disappointed in the Wisconsin Cheese Soup. It is so thick I can stand my spoon up, its so thick because it has too much flour in it. Its a cheese sauce. I get that some people may like that, but a good soup should be creamy and smooth. Do they make their soups from scratch? It tastes like it is from a can..for the price, I'm dissapointed.

I've been to a few Eddingtons in the metro area and have found this location to be worse than the others. The soup was good but I also ordered a ham sandwich and the bread was clearly not fresh, very hard like trying to eat cardboard. The breadsticks also had been sitting out for a long time and were not warm or soft. Somehow just a soup, sandwich and small soda was over $12. I'm not sure if they just save the fresh stuff for weekdays or what but I won't be back any time soon.

I loved this place in college so of course when visiting 5 years later it was a must on my list of food places to hit up. Well unfortunately it was not as wonderful as I remembered. There was one particular soup that I always remember liking but couldn't ever remember the name and unfortunately it was not there on my recent visit. I tried to go through as many memorable favorites as was humanly possible to consume. I started with a handful of bread sticks and the Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese which seemed more bland than I remembered, then I went after the Chicken & Wild Rice which was a little better. Next I got the Basil Pine Nut which was also tasty and then I finished off with the chicken and tortilla which I should've started with because it tasted the best. Even after looking at their menu online I still can't figure out what that mysterious favorite soup I always loved was called. But after revisiting I think my palate has been refined since college because it just didn't taste as amazing as I remembered. I checked in on foursquare of course after we paid and saw the $1.00 off a bottomless bowl and was bummed I missed out. Looks like they also do a deal on Yelp too so whichever app you use, be sure to check-in before you pay!

Soup was good as always, but so concerned to see large amounts of sliced turkey sitting on the counter top, not in a refrigerator. Appeared to be a mgr on duty but she appeared unconcerned. I was here for over 30 minutes and there the turkey sat.

So the one in Minnetonka closed? But this one is exactly the same (for all practical purposes). Awesome, always fresh and unlimited breadsticks. Delicious soup (I always get a mix between Basil Pinenut and Cheddar Cheese). And the staff was even friendly. My favorite part about cold weather is having a reason to go to Eddingtons.

I don't go here very often because of one reason: the breadsticks are amazing, addicting, and I eat way more of them than I want. Their soup is very good as well, but I use that mainly as just something to accompany my breadsticks.

I visit this location as well as downtown mpls and this location is my favorite. The soup recipes and options are all the same but the unlimited breadsticks are superb here. They are cooked well so they are crispy, yet soft and covered in parmesean cheese. The ones downtown are bland and often under cooked. My favorite soups are the tomato basil pine nut, the clam chowder and the white chicken chili. The atmosphere here is very casual, cafeteria style. It's not a place to take guests or hang out but it's great to grab a quick meal. Be sure to check in on yelp or foursquare to save $.

Sometimes you don't need the 50 inch flat screens or the hipster-esque bumper sticker covered wall. Sometimes, you just need a big bowl of soup and unlimited breadsticks. In a place like Minnesota, soup is king for a large part of the year. Nothing warms me up better than Eddington's.

BAD BAD Mommy!!! My daughter was sick today and I came here to buy soup instead of making soup and am I ever glad I did!! I have seen this place many times, walked by it to get to Baja Sol or LeAnn Chins, but never stopped. It is cafeteria style which took me off guard at first but the choice of soup they had was mind boggling! I settled on Chicken wild rice and Chicken tortilla soup. You get free bread sticks with your soup which were super yummy! I wish I had taken more! We both thought the chicken tortilla soup was good but a little thick. I thought the chicken wild rice soup was pretty bland but not bad. The man in front of me was talking about how good the chicken curry soup was so I will be trying that next. Its a great deal if you use your entertainment book coupons. Total for 8 bread sticks and two large bowls of soup was less than six dollars! I will most definitely be using my other three coupons in my book, that's for sure. The staff was very very nice and because of this, I give four stars for three star food. Come give this place a try. I think its a great place to get some warm, feel-good soup and remember no spoon necessary, you can use those scrumptious bread sticks as your spoon!.

Been here a couple times in the last few weeks... Both times I ordered the soup/sandwich $7.99 special. Getting the egg salad sandwich, a chicken tortilla soup and a pop. It is a tasty meal for a good price. I almost forgot, because I also can take about four breadsticks to go. The staff is always polite and quick. I will likely be back over the next few weeks, as it gets colder so my soup craving will increase. :) Good place for good food!

Why I had never heard about this place until a week ago is beyond me. This place is simple but the food is wonderful. I have only had the soup and endless amounts of breadsticks, but I can't wait to go back. Eddington's is very low key and you don't have to worry about dressing to impressing. If I were you and you want soup head over to an Eddington's location near you.

Eddingtons is a cafeteria style soup and sandwich shop that has been around for decades. I used to drive clear across the metro to visit much because I really liked the manager who was always fun to talk to. He left the company and they opened one up 5 minutes away in Har Mar so I go here now. They are closed on Sundays which is great for the employees and a pain for the consumers. Pretty good soup, wraps and salads. I have to admit, I'm addicted to the jambalaya soup. The tortilla soup is delicious too. The staff is usually quite friendly although occasionally you get the employee who could care less. They have an "all you can eat" soup option which allows you to sample several soups. The bread sticks are good and you can have as many as you like. Biggest complaint is the price. It's a little over priced even for a premium soup shop. I go there about once a month--usually when it rains or snows. ;-)

If you're craving soup, this is the place to get it. And nothing can beat their unlimited bowl deal. Sure how many bowls of soup can one person possibily have? My magic number is four. I always start out with the Chicken Tortilla with all the toppings, then i dig into their wild rice. My other favs depend on what day you go, but keep these in mind: the chicken and dumplings and split pea!

I'm a BIG fan of their Wisconsin Cheese soup and super yummy "all you can eat" bread sticks. Sometimes I skip the spoon and just eat the soup with the bread sticks! Any way you eat their soups is perfect when the soup is that good!

Loved this place! Kind of an odd set up as you have cut in line to get a refill on soup but overall the soup is awesome. Many different kinds and all you can eat breadsticks. Mmmm...now I need to go again.

Considering the kind of weather we're experiencing this winter, what could be a better way to erase the winter blues than with delicious hot soup...and lots of it!? I first learned of Eddingtons a couple years ago, which was good for my tastebuds, but bad for my waistline. I jumped right in and started off with bottomless bowls of all kinds of soups, but have since graduated to a sampler of my 3 favorites on any given day. Don't get me wrong, I could eat a lot more, and the bottomless bowl is quite a value for $6.99. But for a dollar less, I can satisfy my tastebuds without needing to starve myself for a week straight afterwards! My favorites are the wild rice, chicken pot pie, and corn chowder. The white chicken chili is decent too, although I think I like Ruby Tuesday's version better. They also occasionally have Zuppa Toscana, which is a popular soup at Olive Garden. Oh, and one can't forget the breadsticks! Who needs a spoon when you've got unlimited breadsticks? Their soup schedule changes daily, so if you visit once and don't like their offerings, try them again another day. You can see their schedule here: eddingtons.com/pdf/Rosev…

Nothing is better than soup on a cold and dreary day. Since those are the only days we've been having this spring so far, I've been in the mood for soup literally all the time. Eddingtons has a great variety of soups. Makes it hard to decide which one to order. My fave is the chicken wild rice with as many breadsticks that fit on my tray.

It's soup and salads. It's not bad, just wish the menu was more consistent from day to day. Luckily the day we visited, I wanted split pea, and it happened to be a split pea day, so it lucked out for me.

Met a friend at Eddington's today for lunch. My mom has been raving about their soup for months, so I thought I'd give it a try. Plus I had a coupon for buy-one-get-one on bowls of soup. Their soup list is pretty extensive and changes daily. I decided on the White Chicken Chili. It had a nice, spicy kick to it but I didn't find many chunks of chicken. It was mostly filled with white beans and other mysterious veggies that were disguised by the thick orange broth. I kind of wish I would have ordered the chicken tortilla soup that was served with whole tortilla chips and a pile of shredded cheddar on top. While Eddington's doesn't have much of an atomosphere, it's a great place to grab some soup, especially on a cold winter day. And if you can get one of their coupons, it's a great deal!

mmmmm....breadsticks.... I love that they have an option of getting the sampler, three mini bowls of soup, so you can try a few different things. The only times I've eaten here have been during lunch breaks so I've always been on a tight schedule but I think I would get the bottomless bowl if I ever came for dinner. Breadsticks, its what's for lunch

If you want to feel sooo full of delicious goodness, then this is the place for you. I moved right into the area of this restaurant and for awhile I was curious as to what Eddingtons was. One day we decided to venture in and see what it was all about, well, it was worth it! I am usually hard to please when it comes to trying new places, yet I found almost too many things that I loved! There are so many delicious flavors of soup to choose from and the best part is that you can try a new soup each time you refill your bowl. Definitely give it a try, you wont regret it!

This is the place for me - if I'm sick, have a migraine, it's cold, snowy, rainy - anything that's off - this place makes it better. I always get their bottomless bowl and start off with Wild Rice. I rarely have anything else, but I have had their chicken noodle, tortilla and tomato - none of which disappointed.

I was really excited to try a soup and sandwich place in the twin cities and so my pilgrimage began at Eddington's. I initially was impressed with the selection of soups and sandwiches and then I started to try the overcooked sludgy messes of soups...very disappointing. The egg salad sandwich had no taste - I mean NO Taste - it was more like a filler of Spackle or a pot hole filler. If anyone has recommendations on soup and/or sandwich places, please let me know!

I had bottomless soup, which came with all you can eat breadsticks if you dine in. I had the beef stew and a chicken tortilla, they were both good. While not a place where I am likely to suggest, I would happily go with anyone who wanted to.

Ever since that fateful day my mom dragged me to Eddington's in Harmar and allowed me to munch on breadsticks in the car I have adored them. I recall getting the boundary waters wild rice soup and have never turned back. Unlimited breadsticks? Yeah, I'm there. The soup has never failed me. I have tried several kinds (Sadly, not all of them because they produce a TON of "homemade" soup.) and loved them all. I'm not sure if they really do make the soup from scratch but even if they don't, big whoop. It's fracccckkkin' good eats! Their biggest downfall happens to be pricing. Their soup is more expensive than Panera and maybe just a titch better. I love Panera and I love Eddington's. Panera, however, does not feed my large, gluttonous rump with unlimited parmesan-y breadsticks. Tips: sit near the breadstick pan. They WILL bring fresh ones out every 15 minutes or so and they WILL be worth waiting for--plus, who doesn't want to find the most parmesan encrusted ones? I do! Further, if you have a hefty appetite get the bottomless bowl. I believe it's $5.99 or something of the sort. $5.99 may seem like a lot, but that $5.99 gets you a buttload of breadsticks, some kloski chicken noodle soup, tortilla soup, jumpin' jambalaya (if you're lucky--my mom LOVES it), wild rice, beer cheese, chili (red or white!)... and the list goes on until one is sick of liquid meals. I also love their turkey sandwich. They use this fluffy italian bread (or at least it's similar to what Cub Foods labels as italian bread!), smear some cream cheese-YES CREAM CHEESE- on it, then sprinkle sunflower seeds on top of the cream cheese, layer on cucumbers and finally turkey. OH DEAR. It's delectable. Yum. Last note: if you want to know what soup they have on a particular day check their website. It's eddingtons.com . P.S. They aren't open on Sundays. I seem to always crave Eddington's on Sundays. Blast.

My husband raves about this place... Took advantage of the check in special dollar off bottomless bowl. Soup and bread sticks are ok nothing to write home about. Place is on the dirty side and every single table was stacked with dirty dishes.
